what is eurovial lighting?

Eurovial is a Romanian company that has been distributing electrical components and machinery for over three decades. While Eurovial does have a physical storefront, their primary revenue stream comes from their online shop. This project focuses on improving the experience the latter provides.

my role

As the sole UX designer involved in this project, I was responsible for handling every aspect of the design process from start to finish.

project overview

challenge
Eurovial's outdated e-commerce platform suffered from poor usability and hindered sales.

focus areas

  • outdated interface: cluttered layout, inconsistent UI, and navigation errors.

  • tedious processes: manual return process, confusing checkout flow.

  • incohesive information: disorganized content architecture, unclear purpose of elements.

solutions

  • refined interface: improved visual hierarchy, larger buttons, consistent UI elements.

  • seamless shopping: integrated navigation, optimized cart experience, separate SICAP checkout.

  • streamlined operations: online return process, clear system status updates.

desired outcomes
Increasing conversion rates and reducing bounce rates. Brand alignment through the logo, tone, and social media refresh is planned.

takeaways

  • allocating user testing resources would have further improved the design

  • investing in testing helps avoid wasted resources and ensures value
